Q1 What made you choose this company? The opportunity to transcend industry and occupational limitations.
Serve as a Technology Partner for Top-tier Companies!

My journey began by specializing in information engineering during my university years, and I successfully graduated in March 2000. Back then, the job market was challenging due to the aftermath of the bubble economy, known as the "employment ice age." However, my unwavering passion for working with computers drove me forward; I refused to compromise on my dreams, no matter the odds. The key factor during my job search was identifying "how I could thrive as an engineer." Amidst numerous opportunities, TechnoPro IT stood out with its limitless scope, unbound by industry or technological boundaries. It became evident that here, I could collaborate with diverse clientele across various fields, constantly challenging myself with cutting-edge technologies.

The initial ten years of my career were dedicated to constructing, operating, and maintaining in-house systems for a client company in Tokyo. This invaluable experience laid a robust foundation for my engineering expertise. As time progressed, I assumed responsibility for projects spanning from inception to operation and maintenance, gradually taking charge of upstream processes, including negotiations with our valued clients. As these projects primarily revolved around the public sector, they were intricately linked with legal matters, demanding extensive consultations and negotiations. It was during this period that my negotiation and management prowess truly flourished.

Presently, as I continue to drive projects as an engineer, I have also earned the position of Office Manager at our branch. These remarkable two decades have not only expanded my technical prowess but have also broadened my horizons significantly, both professionally and personally.

Q2 What is your current job? Creating a Comfortalbe Working Environment
for Each of our 200 Engineers

I took on the role of Office Manager about three years after joining the Osaka branch. As Office Manager, I collaborate closely with the branch manager, jointly responsible for the branch's business operations, and lead the technical department. My mission is to cultivate an environment where approximately 200 technical members at the Osaka branch can thrive and find joy in their daily work.

While personally overseeing each of the 200+ engineers is impractical, we have established several well-coordinated groups within the branch. This structure allows me to work closely with group leaders to plan and execute various initiatives. These range from effectively implementing ideas that come from headquarters at the site, to proactively engaging with client companies, providing guidance on critical decision-making matters such as project contracts and extensions. However, most importantly, we prioritize the well-being and mental health of all our team members on-site.

The current pandemic situation has posed considerable challenges. Nevertheless, we have successfully addressed the need to foster connections while primarily working on-site. By embracing technology like Zoom and Teams, we encourage open communication for both work-related matters and personal consultations. This creates an environment where everyone can develop their skills confidently and with peace of mind. Yet, there is still much more I can accomplish in building a work culture where each individual feels completely at ease and satisfied in their professional journey.

Q3 What are your future career plans? As an engineer, you can chart your career path for the next 10 or 20 years.
We encourage the creation of "multiple pathways".

While our ideas of "career" may differ slightly, I have very clear aspirations. As an engineer, one of my primary goals is to excel in the field of artificial intelligence and automation, in order to contribute to what is commonly known as "work reform".

As an Office Manager, I have a desire to train potential successors. Currently, there are some potential career paths within "education," where you can leverage your experience to develop younger colleagues, "engineering recruitment," which benefits from a familiarity with the industry, and the "consulting " where you can engage with clients. However, I am keen to create even more diverse roles in the future.

For example, I am looking to establish a dedicated department that consolidates the vast knowledge accumulated from various projects across different industries. Additionally, we aim to introduce positions that focus on providing essential information and solutions tailored to our clients' needs. Ultimately, we strive to provide a clear and well-defined career plan so that our team members can confidently say, "this is the path I want to pursue, even beyond the age of 50." Our goal is to expand the career opportunities for our talented individuals, creating a thriving and fulfilling environment for everyone's growth.

How I spend my days off

"Currently, I'm right in the middle of searching for my dream home. It's quite the dilemma deciding whether to go for a new build or a pre-owned house (laughs). As I have yet to finalize my plans, I am eagerly exploring various property layouts. It's almost like a hobby for me now.

Message to Job Seekers

The key to a fulfilling work experience is finding interest and joy in everything you do. Instead of approaching tasks with the mindset of "I have to do this," I try to embrace the perspective of "Let's make it enjoyable!" Also, I like to affirm to myself that "I'm lucky!" Out of nowhere, positive things will happen when we adopt this mindset.
